87/365 – A Day With Megan

One of the perks that I get with Megan working for Groupon is that sometimes she gets to work from home.  When this happens, while she has to focus on work, I still get the benefit of having her around during the day.  We can have lunch and I can bother her while she’s trying to make calls and I might see her enter the bathroom – man, this makes me sound like she’s a stay at home mom and I’m her kid.  The thing is, while she may be working, it’s still better than the usual arrangement.  Things haven’t been easy with our work schedules.  I usually work nights and she works days – so the only time we see each other is when the other one is sleeping.  So, I look forward to having her home – regardless of where her focus needs to be.

Today was great because I got to do all my usual day off activities while having her to bounce ideas off of.  Well, actually, I think I just bothered her like a 6 year old needy kid.  BUT IT’S MY TIME WITH MEGAN, DAMN-IT.

Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? Can I play Skyrim? . . .

Here’s how our day went . . .

Megan woke up at 6am.

I woke up at 8:30.  Whoops!

Megan did Groupon-y stuff.

I went for a run.  3.3 miles, baby!

Megan made Grouponish Calls.

I made a protein shake.

Megan concluded a Groupon-like call.

I drank my protein shake.

Megan did something on her computer that pertains to Groupon.

I dis some TVish watching kind of stuff.

Megan had lunch and watched an episode of Battlestar Galactica.

I had lunch and watched an episode of Battlestar Galactica!

Megan went back to the grind.

I went to a coffee shop, had some fresh ground coffee and wrote blog posts.

Megan scheudles things for Groupon.

I came home and tried to bug her to schedule some Timmy type stuff.

I played Skyrim.

I asked Megan questions.

I walked around the house playing hide-and-seek with Megan.

Megan was found every time at her computer.  She’s not very good at hide-and-seek.

I got sick of hiding and had a fig newton instead.

“IT’S 5pm  QUITTING TIME!”  I yelled that at Megan.  She appreciated it.  We watched more Battlestar and then played one of the two versions of The Walking Dead board games we got for Christmas.  Can’t wait till she works from home again.
