307/365 – Monologue Test

I just finished the test.  The monologue test for Conan.  I’ve been talking about it for days.  You must know what it is by now.  NO?  Look at yesterday’s post for some details . . .

Okay.  So, at noon I went full force.  I had at least 12 different news sites open on my desktop . . . which slowed my computer down considerably.  I just went hog wild while Megan watched me with nervous support.  I had exactly one minute left when I found a perfect article about the North Korean Olympic Team.  Just priceless.  I hurried and got the premise written when my computer slowed to a crawl.  I couldn’t get my e-mail to work . . . I was going nuts.

In the end, I got it through, a little late, but they didn’t disqualify me.  Here’s what I sent:

HEADLINES

Yesterday, a hacker posted on the Yankee’s Facebook page that Derek Jeter would miss the rest of the season due to a sex change operation.

OLYMPICS

A British cyclist admitted to deliberately crashing his bike so the race could be restarted.

On Thursday it was reported that North Korean athletes will receive refrigerators for winning Olympic events.

 

OTHER

Former porn star Jenna Jamison put her support behind Mitt Romney yesterday, stating, “When you’re rich, you want a Republican in office.”

Today, an Australian billionaire denied rumors that he’s trying to build a real life Jurassic Park, complete with genetically cloned dinosaurs.

A report was released Wednesday claiming there are over 83 million phony Facebook profiles.

    Wish you could have also written the jokes to go with the premises. You are so good. Hope you get this internship . They would be lucky to get you.
